What has Burning Man got over Santa Fe?

Zozobra, or Old Man Gloom, burned to death last night in Santa Fe, carting off our disappointments and troubles. He moaned and wailed when he caught on fire, waving his arms in despair. Filled with notes of Santa Feans' worries, mortgage papers and divorce decrees, he took them with him to his smoking grave.

What an appropriate send-off to a year of trouble. I love this town's rituals!
